Sorry for being out of commission for so long. I've been out of touch with the outdoor world for some time.
So, what winter activities do you take part in this time of year?
I've only been able to ice fish one time this winter. We had a pretty good cold spell here, and the fishing hasn't been that great on several of the nearby lakes. But, the sun has been shining quite a bit lately, and that is sure a plus in the winter.
No fish were caught by me, and only a few by my companions.
I have been able to get out and coyote hunt a few times. The other night the moon shined so bright I almost went out in the middle of the night. The temp was just a bit too cold for this aging body, or should I say mind. But we'll get it done soon.
As a matter of fact, a local Northern Buck Hunters Club is having a predator hunt in a couple of weeks. We seem to have a pretty bad predator problem in the north woods. We are attempting to help take care of some of that problem on our own. This will be the second annual event, and more animals expect to be taken this year.
Well, I certainly hope the fishing gets better. It can't get much worse. I also, will be posting more often on the outdoor activities northern Wisconsin. Good Luck in the Outdoors.
