It's that time of year!

Fall is here in Wisconsin. Man I love the smell of Fall.

That means hunting!

I haven't been out in the woods, yet. But will hopefully be able to get some scouting cameras out in the woods this weekend. Just walking and seeing the deer trails, and smelling the falling leaves gets me excited, and anticipating the wonderful therapy I get while sitting in a tree stand. The sounds, or the peace and quite, make the work week a little easier to take.

Then, comes getting the bow equipment tested and sighted in. That can't be over-looked. I don't want to be writing about any shooting errors due to equipment. But, if you're a bow hunter you know all the things that can and will go wrong while chasing your game. But, that's hunting.

I generally can't get away until the end of the month to start locating a whitetail buck. This year won't be any different, I'm afraid. I do hope I can make it this year with my brothers and friends that take a 5 day trip to the western part of the state to chase some really big deer. I wasn't able to go last year. That part of the state produces some of the best racked bucks in the country. I think I read somewhere that, over the past 10 years, Wisconsin has produced the most record book bucks in the country. And that would mean this area of Wisconsin is producing most of them. So, just being there makes me shiver.

I better start getting in shape, just in case I can make it this year. November will be here sooner than you know it.

I hope your getting ready to enjoy the great outdoors this fall. Maybe you already are. If so, let me know how it goes. I look forward to hearing about all your hunting adventures.

By the way, check the site out at discountgolfstuff.com, they too, have a hunting and fishing passion along with several others. You can share your photos of your outdoor activities with them as well.

Good luck hunting, Stay safe! God Bless!

  1. Fall sure is a great time of year. Haven't been able to get in the woods much either. Did get in on my first bear kill this year. That was pretty cool. Hope to see alot more info on your hunting excursions. I'll keep you up on mine.
    Thanks
